Salvation is a free gift from God—It’s yours for the asking!

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. — 1 Timothy 2:3-4

STEP 1: Know that God loves you.

This is what the Bible says:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16 (NIV)

STEP 2: Realize that everyone has sinned.

Yes, everyone! No one is perfect, and we cannot earn our salvation through good works. We need a Savior.

“… all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” — Romans 3:23 (NIV)

STEP 3: Discover that Jesus is the answer!

God sent His Son, Jesus, to die on a cross so that we can have a relationship with Him. Jesus paid the price for sin so we don’t have to.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (NIV)

But Jesus’ death wasn’t the end of the story. He rose on the third day and is alive today and forevermore!

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…” (NIV)

STEP 4: Understand that Jesus Christ is the only way to God.

This is what Jesus said:

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” — John 14:6 (NIV)

STEP 5: Make a decision.

Would you like to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior?

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9 (NIV)

We cannot earn salvation. We are saved by God’s grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, and recieve Him as Lord and Savior. Believe that Jesus died for your sins, confess with your mouth, and recieve forgiveness. It’s that simple!

God in Heaven, I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I invite You to come into my heart and life. I now confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for loving me and saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen
